SWITZERLAND: This country is located in west-central Europe with a population of about 8.85 million. It is bordered with Italy in the south, France to the west, Germany to the north and Austria and Liechtenstein to the east!

The roots of the red flag with the white cross go back to the battle of Laupen in the canton of Bern in 1339. To distinguish themselves from the other parties on the battlefield, the Swiss soldiers had sewn a white cross onto their chain mail. 

Gornergrat is considered to be the most famous landmark in the nation! It is one of those places that everyone should visit at least once in a lifetime. The mountain panorama and the glorious view of the Matterhorn are unforgetable. With its sunny observation platform accessible all year, the Gornergrat, at an altitude of 3.089m has been one of Switzerland's top excursion destinations since 1898                         


Bern or Berne is the capital of Switzerland with a population of about 133.000 (in 2022). Bern is the fifth most popular city in Switzerland, behind Zurich, Geneva, Basel and Lausanne. The Bern agglomeration, which includes 36 municipalities, had a population of 406.900 in 2014. The metropolitan area had a population of 660.000 in 2000

Traditional desserts: Swiss chocolate, carac, zuger kirschtorte and Tirggel.
