 United States of America is a country located in North America. It is a federation of 50 states. The country has the world's third-largest land area, the second-largest exclusive econimic zone, and the third-largest population, exceeding 334 million!

It is widely believed that Betsy Ross made the first American flag. However various towns in colonial America have claimed to be the birthplace of the stars and stripes. We know that on June 14 1777, the Continental Congress adopted the stars and stripes as the official flag for the United States of America. The stars symbolize the 50 states, one for each, the stripes represent the original 13 Colonies!

The statue of liberty is considered to be one of the most populous landmarks in America located in New York City. It was built from the French as a gift in October 28 1886 and has an astonishing height of just over 46 meters (151 feet)!

Washington DC is the capital of the United States of America and it is the 18th largest state in the US and has a population of approximately 7.8 million people making it the 13th most popular state. Since it is the capital, it also has the White house, where the president lives. Washington is located in the north-west America!
